How a 360 scan works
Your 360 scan virtual tour takes between 1.5 to 3 hours to complete; set up takes around 30 minutes and then each scan takes 24 seconds. We take scans from 60 to 100 locations to ensure the best possible tour of your property, using high quality Matterport scanning equipment.
- Snapshots are high resolution at 8092x4552 pixels @70% zoom level (36 MP).
- Automatically rotates and takes 5 exposures per HDR frame.
- Once in position it takes 24 seconds to capture each scan.
- Depth Resolution for tour is 10 points per degree (3600 points at equator, 1800 points at meridian, about 4 million points per pano shot).
- Any of our scans can be viewed in virtual reality for free and our Matterport scan is currently available for free on a variety of virtual reality systems, including: Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, Google Daydream(through WebVR)
- Scan files take 3 seconds to open on a web page [using standard wifi].
- Scans are available on our server for direct download. Access is via a secure password protected server.
